The Black Water Band is six musicians, each with a different background, influence and style, brought together by fate for one purpose - to give you the best damn show that we know how. The pieces have all come together and our production is constantly evolving to keep all you lovely ladies shakin' your tail feathers, and to keep the guys coming to buy you some drinks!!!
The BWB hails from eastern South Dakota. The band performs a variety of cover material and a few original songs. The covers range from 1970’s to current rock hits, and a variety of country hits.
The group has six talented musicians that are at the center of this band. All of us together on stage forms one rock monster – The Black Water Band.
Tom Hiles’ powerful rhythm guitar chords rise over the music, backed by his ability to sing and have fun with a crowd. Tom is also a founding member of the band.
Tony Hulst is the backbone of the band behind the drums. Tony also spent three years with the regional touring group Sakred. Tony is a founding member of the band.
Marty Quiram will make sure you feel how low a bass can go. Marty is not only the bass player of the band, he also adds lead and backup vocals all night long. Marty is a founding member of the band.
Jerry Turner is an incredibly talented lead guitar player. Jerry’s solos are a crowd favorite each night the band performs. Jerry has been performing for over 20 years.
Scott Schmidt has been playing keyboards on stage for the past 20 years. He has toured the nation on several occasions. Scott’s ability to connect with a crowd is second to none.
Dustin Mullaney is the center piece and main voice of the band. Since 2008, he’s been keeping the girls on the dance floor with his smooth yet powerful vocals.
Rick Hulst mans the powerful front of house sound and intelligent light show. You can hear Rick pumping the BWB through 20,000 watts of Yorkville stacks.
